Cabaret 1972

American singer Sally Bowles entertains Berlin during the Weimar Republic era on the stage of the Kit-Kat Club cabaret. Outside the club’s doors lie political and economic chaos, the rise of the Nazis to power, and pogroms against Jews. Inside, it’s a never-ending party. Sally’s relatively carefree life is disrupted by her encounters with Brian—an Englishman who earns extra money by tutoring a wealthy young Jewish woman—and Max—a wealthy German playboy.
