The Wandering Image 1920

A man named John Vanderheide is stalking Imgard Vanderheide, the widow of his brother Georg Vanderheide—the author of a seminal work on the theory of free love—who, in his view, had ruined his life in the past. Fleeing from him, she takes refuge in the mountains, but even there he does not stop pursuing her. In the mountains, in an old cabin, she recognizes Georg, who did not die but faked his own death.
