The Vanishing 1988

Rex and Saskia, a couple in love, are driving from the Netherlands to the French countryside for a vacation. They have a falling-out along the way, but the couple soon makes up. At a gas station, Saskia goes into the store and vanishes without a trace. Three years later, Rex—who by then has a new girlfriend—continues his search for Saskia. He puts up missing-person posters, gives interviews, and one day receives a mysterious letter.
