Tea and Sympathy 1956

Tom Lee is a gentle and sensitive 17-year-old boy. His mother left the family long ago, and his strict father wants his son to be more like a man. At a boarding school for boys, Tom who loves theater, poetry, and music but shows no interest in baseball or girls is subjected to ridicule and bullying by his classmates. Laura, the wife of a schoolteacher, is unhappy in her marriage—her husband prefers the company of his students to that of his wife, and she cannot forget her first love, a young man who died in the war. Seeing how Tom is suffering, Laura tries to help him.
