The Dry 2020

Due to a head injury he sustained as a child, Investigator Alexei Platov of the Investigative Committee is unable to feel emotions. He grew up to be unflappable, level-headed, and solitary. One might think this is an advantage in his line of work, but his lack of emotion prevents him from forming normal relationships with his colleagues and superiors. One day, Platov goes to see businessman Eller to obtain compromising information on influential figures in the city and his colleagues at the Investigative Committee, but finds him lying in a pool of blood, clearly having died a violent death. One of the police officers who responds to the call turns out to be Lieutenant Polina Lavrova. From that moment on, she and the unemotional Platov begin to fight corruption within the local Investigative Committee and the police force.
