Panic in the Streets 1950

A film about the manhunt for gangsters who have contracted pneumonic plague. Three thugs rob and kill a man who has just arrived illegally in New Orleans; he is sick. The killers become infected without realizing it, and they must be caught. The spread of the disease must be stopped to prevent panic. The police and a Public Health Service officer lead the “hunt.”
