On Christmas Eve, a group of terrorists seized an international airport and is now holding thousands of travelers hostage. The terrorists are a gang of renegades made up of heavily armed commandos, led by an officer obsessed with violence. Their goal is to rescue a drug lord. The gang is prepared for every possible contingency—except one: an encounter with John McClane. Bruce Willis returns as the superhero cop who battles not only terrorists but also an incompetent airport police chief, a dim-witted head of the counterterrorism unit, and a terrifying snowstorm.
