For decades, Bob Kane was considered the sole official creator of Batman. The film tells the story of writer Mark Nobleman, who set out to prove that the key elements of the comic book universe—from the costume and Gotham City to the Joker and Robin—were created by the unrecognized co-author Bill Finger, who died in poverty. This is a story about the fight against corporations to restore the great author’s name to the history of pop culture.
